The Bible - We believe the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments to be the only inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God in the original writings. These verbally inspired books are the final authority in faith and life. (Luke 24:27,44; John 5:39)
The Trinity - We believe in one God, eternally exiting in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 12:29)
The Lord Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. We believe in His deity, in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in His atoning death on the cross. (John 1:18; 6:16; Luke 1:30-35)
Mankind - We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Genesis 1:26; Psalm 14:1-3)
Redemption - We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins according to the Scripture, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. Salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus is accompanied by being born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby becoming children of God, a relationship in which one is eternally secure. (Matthew 26:28; John 3:5; Romans 5:6-9,11)
The Holy Spirit - We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in the present world. (John 14:16, 17; 16:7-15)
The Resurrection - We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and His present life there for us, as High Priest, and Advocate. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those saved unto a resurrection of life, and those lost unto a resurrection of conscious punishment and damnation. (John 14:1-3; I Corinthians 15:51, 52; Revelation 10:1-3)
