Thursday, February 9, 2012: Join us to hear Gloria Nelund, Co-Founder, Chairperson & CEO of TriLinc Global in Los Angeles, CA. Gloria cofounded TriLinc in 2008, capitalizing on her 30 years in financial markets and her passion for social impact investing. TriLinc’s mission is “to create scalable solutions to help reduce poverty and advance sustainability.” Gloria will share her journey, which includes serving as the former CEO of the U.S. Private Wealth Management Division at Deutsche Bank. She was responsible for more than $50 billion in investment assets when she chose to leave to spend more time with her family.

Gloria has also volunteered as a teacher of at-risk youth in the Los Angeles Unified School District and the YMCA of Los Angeles. She currently sits on the board of multiple not-for-profit organizations and has been a guest speaker at conferences and universities across the nation, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Wheaton University. Friday, February 10, 5:30-9:30 PM, Gym: Come experience a great car race! Racers young and old take small blocks of wood and turn them into race cars of all kinds of shapes and styles. Bring the family!

We offer a FREE workshops on Saturday, February 4, to help racers build their cars.

Car kits are $4. Entrance fee (which includes dinner for the racer and prizes) is $8. Dinner is $3 for non-racers. Car kits and registration are available on Sunday mornings in the Children’s Lobby or at the workshops. Questions? Contact Martha at marthac@westminster.org

Faith-confirming Fellowship for Internationals

Saturdays bi-weekly, February 11-July 28, 5:30-8:30 PM, Room 310: The Mandarin Community Life Group will host a DVD study in English (The Truth Project) that reintroduces believers to the Truth of God. Each meeting starts with a potluck followed by the lesson and discussion (in Mandarin and English). All who seek living support and spiritual growth are welcome.
