Children’s Ministry: Secure Physical/Spiritual Environments

Secure Physical Environment: We believe children should be secure physically in the sacred space we create just for them. This means their environment and volunteers who work with them ensure their physical security.
Secure Spiritual Climate: We believe kids need to feel secure enough to ask questions as they grow in their walk with Christ.

Children: We believe children will grow spiritually when the experience relationships with a caring adult and in our small group focus (elementary).
Volunteers: We believe God fulfills His mission in our church and in our ministry primarily through volunteers. As volunteers get connected and serve together, they experience God’s call in their lives.
Parents: We believe we have a responsibility to the parents of the children in our program. We need to develop strong relationships of trust and communication as we come along side them in the spiritual development of their child.

Bible Based: We believe the Bible is God’s Word & is critical in changing leaders’, volunteers’, and children’s lives. Therefore, we will center our instruction on God’s Word.
Application Oriented: God’s Word is alive & is intended to be applied to our lives. Therefore, we will ensure our programming focus on the application of God’s Word on kids’ lives.

Leadership Team: We believe that we are stronger and able to do more when we work together. Therefore, we are committed to building a spiritual strong, relationship-based, productive leadership team. Our task is to develop leaders within our ministry to meet the growing demands of the mission God has for us.
Volunteers: We function as a volunteer intense organization and seek to develop our volunteers and inspire them to accomplish the mission God has for them.

Creative & Fun: We believe our mission is to inspire children to develop a lifelong friendship with Jesus. Lost kids matter to God and they matter to us. Therefore, we should teach them in a way which meets their developmental needs - in a fun & creative way!

Child-Centered: Diversity is clearly evident in children’s ministry in many ways. We reach kids from a diverse range of ages, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and spiritual development. We believe in developing a program which unites our diverse demographics and focuses on what is common to them all-they are children! We believe our program should focus on what is best for kids, not what is easiest or most comfortable for adults. As we emphasize connecting the God’s truths in a child-centered way, this diverse group of children will begin to understand the unity of His Spirit.
