Dear potential Children’s Ministry volunteer:

We are excited that you want to check out the Children’s Ministry at Westminster Chapel! We want to help you find where you can invest your God-given gifts in the lives of children. Our current opportunities include volunteering in Sunday morning Sunday School classes (Birth – 6th grade), Tuesday morning (Nursery-Kindergarten), and at AWANA on Wednesday evenings.

How to Get Involved:
1. Find a position that fits your passion. Look at our list of current openings and job descriptions.
2. Complete the Volunteer Application.
3. When complete, please send your application to the Children’s Ministry office.

We will contact you and help you:
a. Identify the age you would enjoy serving, and the position best suited to you
b. Share our vision and values
c. Placement with training

Let me ease your mind about a few things:

  • You don’t have to be an expert.
  • Each member of our Children’s Ministry team has one thing in common: a love for children. If you have a heart to love God and a desire to work with children, then you have the two basic ingredients necessary to become a volunteer in children’s ministry. We will equip and train you for your ministry.
  • You do not need all the time in the world.
  • You can successfully minister to children with a minimal time commitment. We have many ways that you can minister to children in a time frame that will work for you! During the weekend services, in just an hour-and-a-half each week, you will be able to form relationships with children and their parents that will communicate love and value, not only from you, but also from God.
  • You will not be alone.
  • You will be supported in your ministry by the Children’s Ministry staff and leadership teams. We plan enrichments during the year that are designed to encourage, equip, energize and empower you for ministry. You will not be a lone ranger in your ministry to children…guaranteed!

We look forward to getting to know you and to helping you find where God has shaped you to be. It will be exciting to watch God at work in you and through you as you minister to the children of Westminster Chapel.
