Moving to America was hard, but Westminster Chapel helped us a lot! My family and I came to the United States from Korea last year. We arrived in Bellevue. It was a big move for us. We had many problems with language and culture.

But many good things came to us from Westminster Chapel. The people here helped us in many ways.

For example, my car needed repairs. I did not know how to get it fixed. But a man from Westminster Chapel’s Garage Guys fixed it. He really helped me in a very practical way.

Another example is Reztown. My son, Sug enjoys Reztown very much. His Reztown shepherd makes him happy to be there on Sunday morning. He took much interest in Sug. He helped Sug work on Bible lessons. And then Sug helped me understand about the Bible too.

I wanted to improve my English. I joined the TalkTime class at Westminster Chapel. It was very helpful. The people there were kind to me. I also joined the Alpha group. I always feel God’s love at TalkTime and Alpha.

My Bible study teacher helped me understand about God’s love. She is patient and kind when I can not speak English very well. She is a very wonderful friend to me. Because of her lessons, I wanted to know Jesus in my heart.

All my life I was searching for spiritual refuge. God showed me his love because people at Westminster became my friends. On Easter Sunday 2005 at Westminster Chapel I was baptized as a follower of Jesus Christ. Now, if I live in Korea or in America, I know someday I will live in Heaven.

I am very thankful to everybody at Westminster because they reached out to me and became my friend.

I love being a Talk Time host. I really enjoy people, especially from other cultures. At Talk Time each week, I get to know students, housewives, business people, and others from Asia and many parts of the world. It’s a privilege to help them adjust to American culture and to improve their English. I highly recommend this opportunity!

Westminster is a place to put faith into action. The first Sunday we attended it was very, very clear this is where God wanted us to be. Westminster is a place to put your faith into action. It’s a place where you get to take what you know the Bible teaches and what Jesus has asked us to do, which is to love one another and encourage one another, and actually do that through relationships with people.
