We believe that God desires to have an intimate, love relationship with each of us. He wants us to communicate (meet and talk) with Him about everything in our lives. King David expresses his passion and hunger to be close to God in Psalm 42:1-2 when he says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”

At Westminster Chapel, we believe that prayer is the essential foundation of everything that happens and every decision that is made within our church. We are here for you. It is a joy to serve you with a wide variety of resources that we hope will help you to grow in your prayer life and in your daily walk with God.

The various prayer activities at Westminster Chapel are overseen by a prayer commission which supports the senior pastor (also the pastor of prayer), and the elder of prayer. The commission generally meets monthly on the first Friday morning. The current members are: Gary Gulbranson, Senior Pastor; Bob Owen, Elder of Prayer; Steve Hall; Dianne Geijsbeek; Jeff Neuenschwander; Ginny Ironmonger; Jennifer Smith; Terry Montague; Vanita Thomas; Valerie Foskett; and Jim Roodhouse, chair.
