From the very beginning of the Bible, God created marriage. Therefore, He is the one who can help heal and strengthen your marriage relationship. Is your heart broken because of trouble in your marriage? Draw close to the Lord and let Him heal your soul and bring hope into your heart. God is your refuge and your strength, and He wants you to trust in Him. Humans will fail us, betray us, disappoint us – but God never fails. You are not alone. The Lord is right there with you to lift you up and bring you to a better place.
Let’s pray together…
Father God, we lift up this precious child of Yours who is hurting so deeply. They need Your comfort and security. Please bring Your love and compassion into their heart and circumstances so that they can be restored. Father, help them to forgive themselves and their spouse so that there will be no roots of bitterness in their mind and heart. Pour out Your love upon them, and bring healing as they turn to You. In Jesus name. Amen
Further Scriptures to help you:
Genesis 2:24-25: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
Proverbs 17:1: “Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.”
Ephesians 5:21-33: “…submitting to one another in the fear of God. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. ’For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”
1 Peter 3:8-12: “Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For ‘He who would love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers…”
