In the Bible, the Lord gives us specific ways to know that He will protect us when we are in danger. He wants you to walk in His peace, knowing that He is right there with you; He sends His angels to watch over you; and you have His protection. Whether you need spiritual, physical, emotional, or financial protection, the Lord promises that He is your hiding place; He is your fortress and your refuge. As you draw close to Him, He will protect you.
Let’s go to the Lord and ask Him to give you that protection…
Dear Heavenly Father, We lift up this child of Yours who needs the assurance of Your protection. Would you please wrap Your arms around them and hold them close to You? Lord, You have said that You are our shield and fortress, and that You will send Your angels to guard us and to lift us up. Lord, we thank You that this person doesn’t have to depend upon their own power or strength to protect them, but greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world. Please help Your child to walk in your peace, knowing that You never leave them or forsake them, You are right there. In Jesus name. Amen
Further scriptures to help you:
Psalm 3:1-7: “LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in God.’ But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O LORD; Save me, O my God!”
Psalm 18:1-3: “I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.”
John 10:27-29: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”
Ephesians 6:10-18: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
