The Lord wants you to know His perfect will for each decision that you must make. He is not a God of confusion. In James 1:5, God states, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” There are certain things that will help us in knowing God’s direction for our lives. The Bible is like a roadmap that will lead you to the direction that God would have you go.
Let’s pray together…
Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up this child of Yours, asking that You will guide and direct every area of their life. Lord, we know that You are honored because they seek to know and follow Your will for their life. Your word in Psalm 119:105 says that “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Please help Your child to meditate on Your word and to know what direction You would have them go. Then, guide them in the way that is pleasing to You. In Jesus name. Amen
Further scriptures to help you:
Romans 12:1-2: “Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Proverbs 3:5-7: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.”
Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
John 10:27: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
Romans 12:1-2: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.”
James 3:17: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”
Colossians 3:15-16: “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
