Are you hungry for a closer walk with the Lord? The following prayers will help you to humble yourself before God and to ask Him to help you to totally surrender to Him.
General Daily prayers for Personal Renewal
• Ask God to give you an increasing desire (hunger and thirst) to know Him and to spend time with Him (Psalm 42:1-2; Psalm 27:4; Matthew 22:37-38; John 15:5)
• Praise God for His holiness, power, love, grace, mercy, patience, faithfulness, goodness and much more. (Psalm 34; Psalm 100)
• Ask God to humble you, break you and melt you in whatever areas of your life are necessary. (2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 35:13; James 4:6-10)
• Surrender your will, family, future, reputation, desires, hopes, possessions and talents–everything–to God. (Matthew 26:39; Luke 14:33; Galatians 2:20)
• Ask God to search your heart for any sin in your life. (Isaiah 59:2; Psalm 139:23-24)
• Confess all sin and ask God to forgive you. (Psalm 51; 1 John 1:9)
• Forgive others who have hurt you or sinned against you. (Matthew 6:14; Mark 11:25)
• Ask God to give you His love for others and His oneness within the Body of Christ. (Matthew 39-40; John 17; John 13:34-35; 1 Corinthians 13; 1 John 4:19-21)
• Ask God to give you a deep dependency upon His Word. (Psalm 119:11; Colossians 3:16; Hebrew 4:12)
• Ask God to increase your desire to pray and to teach you to pray. (Luke 11:1; Philippians 4:4-7)
