Workplace (or Marketplace) ministries help Christians connect faith and daily work. Recognizing that mankind was intended, by the Creator, to be co-workers in the world, gives intrinsic value to all the work we do. We are challenged to work as if God is our boss, in an ethical manner, applying Biblical principles and demonstrating Christ-like attitudes and actions. Workplace Ministry helps us to see the high calling of our daily work.
The vision/mission of this committee is to build and implement a Biblical framework that will enable Westminster Chapel to present a holistic view of daily work. The faith/work message is to be delivered through specific adult education classes, references from the pulpit, Labor Day recognition, and partnerships with other workplace ministries.
This is a division of Westminster Women’s Ministry, designed to “connect, encourage, and inspire” working women in our congregation and community through three dinner events each year (fall, winter, and spring) that feature workplace-focused speakers. Small group Bible studies are also available, focused on workplace issues. Contact: Nancy Erisman at nerisman@aol.com
This group is a volunteer-led ministry of Westminster Chapel and affiliated churches that provides assistance for unemployed or under employed individuals through resume preparation, interviewing techniques, job search tools, and encouragement. It meets at Westminster on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Contact: Richard Tuengel at 425-562-8028
