Global Impact

Our Model

Acts 1:8 – “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

God calls the church to increasingly expand our witness and influence.  We begin locally with those in our sphere of influence, reach out to the diverse world at our doorstep, turn compassion into action in our community and make a difference in the least reached places around world.

Our Mission

We believe that God has called every believer to make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ. The Global Impact Ministry guides people to discover their mission in the world, connects them with others who share their mission, equips them to serve cross-culturally and sends them out to make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.

Our Priorities

It is our desire to strategically place Westminster Chapel’s resources behind people, places and projects that engage our congregation and impact the world with the gospel. We recognize that we can’t do it all, supporting everybody and every project. We have established priorities that will cause us to focus our impact on the world.

I – Invest in Reaching the Least Reached
The scriptures tell us that the gospel must be preached to all nations (or people groups) before Christ will return. There are still many people groups in our world who have no Christian witness, local church or scriptures in their language. Therefore, we will place a high priority on people, places and projects that reach out to the least reached people in our world.

M – Mobilize Our Congregation
God calls us to prepare and mobilize our congregation to participate in the Great Commission and the work of building God’s Kingdom. Therefore, we place a high priority on supporting people and projects that engage and encourage the Westminster Chapel congregation to participate in global mission activity.

P – Plant Churches
We believe the God has designed the local church to carry out His redemptive plan on earth. Therefore, we will support leaders to plant churches and help churches to expand their evangelistic capacity.

A – Assist With People’s Spiritual and Physical Needs
The message of the gospel must be accompanied by compassion and a willingness to meet the needs of the poor and vulnerable in the world. Therefore, we place a high priority on people and projects that take an active, “holistic” approach so that our impact is sustainable.

C – Cooperate With People Who Share Our Vision
The role of the Western Church in global mission is changing. More and more we are being called on to use our resources to support mission leaders from different countries. Therefore, we place a high priority on developing and sustaining cooperative partnerships with missionaries and mission agencies that are empowering global leadership to reach a targeted area.

T – Train Leaders to Serve
We recognize the most effective and enduring leadership must come from national or indigenous leaders. Therefore, we place a high priority on people and ministries who focus on training and deploying national leaders.

S – Seek Justice for the Oppressed
God calls us to speak up against the abuse of power and stand up to address the problem of human violence. Therefore, we place a high priority on identifying and speaking up against injustice in the world.
