Westminster Chapel sends and supports career missionaries because we believe it is the best way to make a long term impact on the world. In Acts 13, we read that the church in Antioch set apart Paul and Silas for a work that God had called them to - to spread the gospel into unreached areas. We see our relationship with our missionaries in the same manner; they are an extension of Westminster Chapel in the world and are therefore our partners. We not only desire to support and care for our missionaries, we want to get involved in the work they are doing.
Our missionaries are involved in a variety of roles. Some are working in other countries to plant churches and train leaders, some are working to translate the Bible into new languages, while others are working here in the US to mobilize people and churches.
On this page you will find 4 categories of missionaries:
1. We have our career missionaries that Westminster Chapel supports and, in many cases, were sent out by our church. Each of our missionaries also works with an approved mission agency or organization.
2. Mission Partners are those who work with us on the field with a specific Global Impact Project. In most cases, they were not sent out by Westminster, but play a key role in helping us get involved in ministry on the field.
3. Westminster Family in Global/Local ministry are those who attend Westminster Chapel and are working directly with a global or local mission assignment.
4. We also list our recently retired missionaries who still maintain a relationship with Westminster Chapel.
