Short-Term Teams: Trips, Projects and Opportunities

Westminster short term teams reach beyond our church into the community and world in a variety of ways. These teams are lead by trained volunteers who can come alongside you and help you discover how to make an impact on the world.

The Purpose of Short-Term Teams

For you as a person …

Experience new dimensions of your spiritual journey as you partner with God in making an impact in the world around you. There is no substitute for first hand experience. Click here for more on a recent experience in Ethiopia.

Explore the passion, gifts and calling God has placed in your heart to reach and serve the world. Explore different cultures and discover how you can develop meaningful and lasting friendships.

For us as a church …

Our focus is to reach out to the most spiritually marginalized people in our community and world. We can only do this as we join in and work together.

Relationships are the lifelines for our long term partnerships. Short-term teams help to develop and maintain our long term relationships and assist those who are on the front lines.

Short-term teams can be a gateway into long term teams that support ministries in our community and around the world.

Choosing a short-term team

How do I choose a short-term team?

  • Look through the list of opportunities on this website and carefully consider which opportunities match your interests, experience or abilities. If you’ve never been on a short-term team you may want to begin with a local team.
  • Call or email the contact person of a short-term team and schedule a time to have a conversation with the person who can answer your questions and talk through your concerns.
