Volunteers
Westminster is a place to become all that God has designed you to be. All believers have been given spiritual gifts to serve the body. We want to help you discover what you do best in the body of Christ. We believe the best way to discover your gift is to find a place to serve.
At Westminster we have two kinds of volunteers:
- Informal volunteers - We have many of short term opportunities to help out. You can find these listed in the Bulletin each Sunday.
- Formal volunteers - Most of our serving opportunities are ongoing and require some training and orientation.
To get involved as a formal volunteer here is a simple process:
- Pray - God has designed you to serve, so begin the process by checking with your designer.
- Observe - Contact the leader of the ministry in which you are interested to set up a time to observe.
- Apply - Filling out a simple application will help the leader of the ministry get to know you better and will help you think through the qualifications.
- Meet - Set up a time to meet with the leader of the ministry to talk through the commitment and qualifications of the role.
- Get trained - We want to help you be effective in your role. The ministry leader will give you more information on training.
