POSITION SUMMARY: This position is strategic in helping all guests have a seamless and meaningful experience that will inspire them to return and become a part of the fabric of our church family. Additionally, this person shall build relational bridges as a liaison to our extended community as they utilize our facilities through events and other activities. This position will be a key member of our 360 Team.

POSITION STATUS: Regular Part Time, 25 hr/week, Non-exempt

ACCOUNTABILITY/LINE RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Communications Director

Works with: WC staff, volunteers, the public, clients, and the congregation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. First Impressions:

A. Help make the Chapel irresistible to our congregation, clients, and visitors.

B. Provide customer service and care to every guest that comes into WC.

C. Manage and maintain responsibility for the First Impression Team.

D. Recruit, orient, assign teams of volunteers for Sundays and special services (i.e. Greeters, Ushers, Communion Servers, Parking Lot Attendants, etc.), as needed.

E. Assist with maintaining an inviting look and feel of the church entrance and foyer.

F. Connection Cards: Collect and give them to Office Coordinator. (i.e. visitation records, address changes, etc.).

2. BREW coffee café:

A. Manage all aspects of BREW coffee café.

B. Maintain supplies and standards of cleanliness as established by the State of Washington.

C. Recruit, train, and schedule Baristas for the same.

D. Work with WC staff to facilitate BREW services, as appropriate, for other ministries and events. (i.e. Tuesday Morning Bible Study, concert refreshments, etc.)

3. Outside Event Coordination:

A. Manage the outside use and rental of WC facilities.

1. Meet with potential clients

2. Develop contract

3. Do a walk-through to determine set-up options

B. Present proposed event to Executive Team for approval.

C. Work with partner ministry groups to rent and schedule events.

D. Integrate events into church calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts.

E. Assign an Event Concierge; fulfilling the same, as needed.

F. Invoice and collect payment from rental partners.

G. Communicate scheduled outside events to Facilities Foreman (providing room set up diagrams),

Technical Director (technical needs and paid services), Visual Designer (signage).

4. Communications:

A. Assist with the production process of the quarterly Next Steps magazine in concert with the time-line set with the Communications Director; monitor supply weekly and keep Communications Director informed.

B. Help ensure events are correct and thorough as entered into the planning resource center (PCO).

C. Be aware of church activities so questions can be answered quickly and accurately.

D. Attend weekly Logistic and Staff meetings.

E. Other duties as requested or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Working knowledge of Computers, Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Elvanto, Planning Center Online

* Willing and able to learn the Arena System (Church database)

* Be able to multi-task

* Attend church regularly at Westminster Chapel

* Demonstrate a commitment to the Statement of Faith of Westminster Chapel

* Demonstrate initiative by anticipating needs and solutions.

* Demonstrate flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work flow and production situations.

* Communication, cooperation, and assistance are given promptly and in a courteous manner to pastors, co-workers, volunteers, outside contractors, the congregation, and the public.

* A standard of excellence in ministry and accountability will be maintained at all times.

CHILDCARE ASSOCIATE

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Childcare Associate is an employee who is able to care for the Children of Westminster Chapel.

LINE RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Respective ministry department who assigns them to a job. The Childcare Associate is responsible to the standards of care as stated in the Childcare Packet. The Family Ministry Department has oversight as it relates to the care for families.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Childcare Associate is responsible for providing excellent childcare services for the ministries of Westminster Chapel.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Represent the appropriate department for which you are assigned

* Follow Family Ministry Childcare packet rules and guidelines

* Be able to lift at least 25lbs.

* Follow Westminster Chapel handbook employee guidelines

* Be on time to assignments and prepared in order to be successful for your specific ministry needs

* Clean up after your ministry use for the next ministry that will occupy the room

* Be forthright with circumstances that might compromise your ability to serve children and their families

* Provide at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make it to an assignment

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time, Hourly

This is a short-hour, as needed position. Schedule may vary, as determined by the ministry in need of childcare. Wages are paid as hours are worked, without benefit of sick leave, vacation, and holiday pay.
