What to Expect

Westminster Chapel is a place to begin. So here are some questions that people who first come to Westminster ask us.

Will I be put on the spot?
How can I meet people?
What should I wear?
What kind of people attend Westminster?
Am I expected to give to the church?
What kind of message does the Pastor give?

Will I be put on the spot?

We won’t ask you to stand, raise your hand or do anything you’re not comfortable doing. You won’t be pressured to give us information you’d rather keep private. If you want to come and simply observe what happens here, that is fine with us!

How can I meet people?

If you would like to meet people or ask a few questions about the church we have a hospitality corner in our foyer you can visit before or after a service. We have some friendly people there ready to meet you.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. The dress ranges from casual to professional.

What kind of people attend Westminster?

All kinds of people attend our church, all ages, races and stages of life and backgrounds. A lot of people at Westminster are new to Christianity or returning to church after being away for a time.

Am I expected to give to the church?

If you are visiting there is no expectation of giving. We do have an offering during the services for those who consider Westminster their home church.

What kind of message does the Pastor give?

Pastor Gary Gulbranson does most of the speaking except in the 11:30 service which uses a team of people to teach. All our pastor’s messages are based from the Bible, are practical and relevant and use language and stories that relate to everyday life. They aim to be challenging and inspirational.
