DEAR WESTMINSTER FAMILY –
One of our values states that “We are a diverse family, therefore we value uniting diverse people to glorify God through the oneness of spirit and purpose.” It has been so exciting over the years to watch as God has brought people from all around the world to join our church family. While unity is always a work in progress, joining together as followers of Jesus despite apparent differences allows us to demonstrate our faith in powerful and tangible ways.
This Sunday we will spend time in our worship services looking at the Biblical foundations for this value as we celebrate the rich diversity with which we have been blessed. To help with this we want to invite you to wear the native dress from your culture. We will also take time to honor the life and remember the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Our services will include special music, personal stories, and a powerful demonstration of what it means to be one in Christ.
After our services, plan to stop by the CLC for our interactive walk-through exhibit celebrating the life of Dr. King. We hope it serves as an encouraging reminder of where we’ve been and where we are headed as a country and its impact on our diverse community.
This truly will be a Sunday you don’t want to miss. See you in church!
Pastor Matt
P.S.
