DEAR WESTMINSTER FAMILY  –

I am very excited about the focus of our services this weekend. For several years, we have taken the first part of November to address the issues of orphan and foster care in our culture. This Sunday I have asked someone on our staff to address this important topic. Arlene Finley will be speaking in both of our services. You know her. You have experienced her passion for the Lord in worship. What you may not know is her commitment to the Word of God and her expertise in sharing that Word with others. Arlene brings a special sense of credibility to this discussion. You need to hear what she has to say.

Also in our services this week, Mark Pedrin will interview an individual from Olive Crest, an organization that works in the arena of orphan and foster care. You will have the opportunity to visit a booth in our foyer as well as to sign up for a seminar (Foster Care 101: Questions and Answers) to be held on Saturday, November 17, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Westminster. I hope that several of you will make the effort to attend this gathering.

Also this weekend….There is still an opportunity to attend our Veteran’s Day Breakfast on Saturday at 8:30 AM. This breakfast is open to everyone, but you do need to let us know you are coming. We want to make sure that we have breakfast available for you. I can guarantee that you will be challenged by our special speaker. Click here to register.

Jorie and I would also like you to support us in prayer as we speak this weekend at Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center. I have been asked to be the keynote speaker for a seminar on Blended Families. We will be speaking on this issue in four sessions over the weekend.

Bless you, as you continue to serve Jesus in these “interesting” times.
