DEAR WESTMINSTER FAMILY –
PERSPECTIVE….(Definition) “a broad view of events or ideas in their true nature and relationships.”
“Perspective” is a good word to describe our services this Sunday. We are going to take some time to hear stories from you about God’s faithfulness over this past year. Our experiences with God’s presence and power will give us perspective as we move into 2019.
“Perspective” is also a word that fits my message this week. We have been in an Advent series focused on the 1st century participants in the Nativity. We have looked at the journeys of Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men, and even Jesus, Himself. On Sunday we will talk about the angels, who in their journeys from heaven, offered a unique perspective to the events happening on earth.
Also…I encourage you to prayerfully consider how you might help us address our year-end giving challenge. I have included ways that you can give at the end of this e-mail.
See you in church.
YEAR-END GIVING: As we approach the end of the calendar year, many of you choose to give donations of stock. The following may be of help:
• Transfer stock to Westminster Chapel’s account at Charles Schwab: account BV93376060, DTC0164.
• Notify Tim Huffman (425) 460-4015 or email email@example.com of the company and number of shares given. A letter acknowledging the receipt of the stock will be sent to you. Wait until you get this letter before you do your taxes or your deduction may be disallowed.
• Visit https://www.westminster.org and click on GIVING for additional methods of giving.
• Locked Safe Available For Year-End Gifts…On December 31st – for your convenience, a safe will be outside the front entrance of the church to drop off year-end donations.
• Donations must be received by Westminster Chapel or postmarked no later than December 31, 2018, to make them eligible for tax deductions for 2018.
