Dear Westminster Family:

Dear Westminster Family:

In case you missed the build-up, Jorie and I are celebrating two anniversaries this weekend. Saturday is our 45th wedding anniversary and Sunday is our 25th anniversary at Westminster. I measure the real significance of these two events not in the number of years involved but in the quality and quantity of the relationships represented.

In anticipation of this weekend’s events I have found myself humming a little song made popular by the Carpenters (a brother/sister musical act) a number of years ago. It is entitled “Sometimes.”

SOMETIMES, NOT OFTEN ENOUGH
WE REFLECT UPON THE GOOD THINGS
AND THOSE THOUGHTS ALWAYS CENTER
AROUND THOSE WE LOVE

AND I THINK ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE
WHO MEAN SO MUCH TO ME
AND FOR SO MANY YEARS HAVE MADE ME
SO VERY HAPPY

AND I COUNT THE TIMES I HAVE FORGOTTEN TO SAY THANK YOU, AND JUST HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM.

From Jorie and me……”Thank you and we love you!”

See you in church.

Pastor Gary (and Jorie, too)
