“Westminster Family,

It’s hard to believe but fall has officially arrived. With it comes changing weather, colors on the trees, football, pumpkin spices lattes, and so much more. Hopefully you and your family are settling into new rhythms this season often brings – the return to school, the opportunity for more normalcy in our schedules, the restarting of groups and other activities that allow us to connect with others.

This is one of the reasons I’ve been appreciating our Jesus Transformation sermon series so much. Now is a great time for us as a church to examine who we are and how God calls us to live out our faith in the world around us. By thinking through what it means to experience a “Jesus Transformation” both individually and collectively, and by striving to “listen and love like Jesus,” we are opening ourselves to God’s work in our lives and hopefully cultivating a heart for those around us. This Sunday we will continue our study of the book of Acts and will look at a picture of the early church that’s found in Acts 2:42-47. I would encourage you to read this passage before we gather for worship. As you do, pay close attention to the role devotion plays in the lives of the early Christ followers and consider what devotion looks like in your life today.

Whether in person or online I hope you will be able to join us on Sunday.

God bless,

Matt”
