SEEKING REFUGE FOOD DRIVE

Sunday, February 25 - Sunday, March 31

Historically during the season of Lent, the Church would encourage believers in acts of service towards the local community. This Lenten season, Westminster Chapel will be committing to sacrificially give to those in need who are seeking asylum in our local community. Over 300 asylum-seekers are encamped in Tukwila at Riverton Park United Methodist Church since October, and are in great need of basic sanitary and food supplies. From now until Easter Sunday (March 31st), Westminster will be handing out grocery bags with an item list attached for our church families and individuals to buy supplies for these asylum-seekers in Tukwila.

What You Can Do:

  1. Grab a grocery sack with this shopping list attached
  2. During the week, go grocery shopping and purchase the items listed.
  3. Return the filled grocery bag to Westminster Chapel on a Sunday by March 31st.

This Lenten season, you can help show the love of Jesus by meeting the most basic human needs! Join us!
