“Be still before the Lord and Wait patiently for Him… for those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.” Psalm 37: 7 & 9

There is nothing so important as a spirit of dependence on God. Before we pray, we should quiet our hearts before Him; remember and realize who He is, how near He is, how able He is to help. Learn to be still before Him and allow His Holy Spirit to waken and stir up in your soul the disposition of dependence and confident expectation. Wait on God As a Living Being, as the Living God. He, who knows your name and is longing to fill you with His salvation. Wait on God until you know you have met Him; prayer will then be more than a wish list of needs, but rather moments in harmony with His holy nature. Be reminded that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus! Phil. 4:19
