Series: Serve Where You Live
Sunday: “Give Him All You Have” (Mark 6:30-44)
“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” (John 6:9)
We are confronted with the needs of others every day. At times this can seem overwhelming but if we are to “Serve Where We Live” we must learn to respond to the needs of others by trusting God to work through us and to provide for us what we need. The story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 illustrates this in the following ways…
I. Jesus saw the crowd’s NEED and responded with COMPASSION. (Mark 6:34)
II. The Disciples saw their LIMITATIONS and responded with FRUSTRATION. (Mark 6:35-37)
III. The little boy saw his LUNCH as something to SHARE. (John 6:9)
IV. The crowd that was there that day WITNESSED a MIRACLE. (Mark 6:41-44)
Conclusion: What do you have that Jesus can multiply?
