These days it’s good advice to “Expect the Unexpected.” We are all walking uncharted territory due to COVID-19. Yet, in the midst of these challenges, the church of Jesus has unique opportunities to care for people and to shine light in our community.
Care, Compassion, and Church Online are the three key initiatives Westminster is rallying toward at present, both as a staff and church body. On our website you’ll find links and resources to help you find a place to connect from wherever you are.
And if you’re hungry for nostalgia from a simpler time, here’s how our Sundays traditionally work:
We are a Bellevue church conveniently located near the I-405/SR 520 junction.
Our Address: 13646 NE 24th St., Bellevue, WA 98005
Two Meeting Times
9:00 & 10:45 AM
Choose the time that is best for you. In addition to attending a service, you are also welcome to join a Grow Group or class meeting on campus starting at the same times.
We have plenty for parking around the campus and conveniently placed entrances for wherever you park. Overflow parking is available in Park 140. Just take the next driveway downhill from the church and walk up stairs. For wheelchair access, we suggest the main entrance. The lower back entrance also has easy access to the elevator.
A Typical Service
Westminster is a multi-generational church in Bellevue, and the diversity of music in worship reflects this. We worship together singing some classic hymns and some of the newest songs, and believe deference and understanding is also an important act of worship. You might hear a pipe organ and an electric guitar solo in the same service. Services last approximately 70 minutes. Grab a latte before or between services and at BREW and strike up a conversation with someone.
As soon as you walk through the front doors of Westminster Chapel, you’ll see our coffee stand, BREW. This is a great place to stop and order your favorite coffeehouse drink on Sunday mornings. The first drink for visitors is free! After that, they gladly accept cash, debit, credit, or pay through your smartphone.
The Welcome Center is just inside the main entrance. Staff are waiting to meet you and will be happy to show you around or answer any questions.
There is no dress code. We are a casual environment. Some folks love to dress up while others prefer to dress more casually. Please feel free to wear what is most comfortable for you.
We have about 1,200 regular attendees and on a typical Sunday, about 1,500 people are on campus. Our extended church family also includes many missionaries and faith-based affiliates across the United States and the globe. We have a live stream audience that watches from around the world.
Infants, Children & Teens
We call it all “Family Ministry,” and have programming for every age. Take the elevator or stairs down one level to check in infants and children. Someone will be there to assist you if it’s your first time. Teens have programming downstairs during the 9:00 AM service or can join adults in the Sanctuary for the 10:45 AM service. Check out our Family Ministry Pages to learn about our Wednesday night programming.
