Dear Westminster Family:
This Sunday, we continue our series on THE FAM: THE VALUES THAT BUILD US AND BIND US by focusing on the value of worship. Simply stated….We are a worshipping family, therefore, we value creating sacred space where we encounter the character, wonder, and mystery of God.
We tend to limit our view of worship by relegating it to a set of activities experienced for a few moments on a Sunday morning. That is not worship. Worship is an activity that grows out of an attitude. Worship is what you give your heart to. As a church, we value creating opportunities for our heart’s attitude toward God to be expressed.
This week, we have created two of those opportunities. The first is a Sunday service that we call, “Pursuit.” Our gatherings on Sunday will focus on what it means to wait upon God in Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. Our songs, prayers, and communion will point us to our relationship with the God who encourages us to love Him with “all our hearts, minds, and strength.”
The second opportunity can be found in a set of devotionals that define the concept of waiting on God. Beginning on Monday, these devotionals can be accessed daily for the week by going to our Westminster App. You can download the App on your iPhone or iPad by clicking here. I encourage you to add these to your daily worship.
I look forward to sharing these Sunday moments with you all.
