In Early Life, we are continuing to learn about God’s Wonderful Gift.  When we see the title of this, we may be reminded of the Resurrection and the Easter Sunday we just celebrated.  However, this is a different gift – the Gift of the Holy Spirit.  The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and given the authority and power to continue Jesus’ work here on earth.  And that power lives in us.  WOW!! In Elementary Ministry, we are concluding our study about Jesus’ last days with his disciples this week as we look at when Jesus ascended into heaven. This was not the plan that the disciples expected but it was God’s plan. As we study this story, remind your children that Jesus left earth and returned to heaven, but He did not leave us alone. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be with us and help us do God’s work. One day Jesus will return to make all things new and to rule as Lord over all.
