In Preschool, our story this Sunday is from Mark 10:46-52 and is the story of Jesus healing a man named Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus was a blind man who lived in Jericho as a beggar. He wanted to see and knew that Jesus could help him. We will be using the book, “The Man Who Would Not Be Quiet!” by Steph Williams to help tell the story.(We are going through some books this summer from The Good Book Company which are based on some favorite stories in the Bible. These books are of varying lengths, but all have fun pictures and unique ways of telling the story, while being Biblically accurate.) As you share this story with your children, help them to remember that Jesus came to “make things better … and not just eyes.” He came to forgive our sins and make right our relationship with God.  That is something we should not keep quiet about! Click on the Preschool Link below and learn with your kids!

In Elementary, we are beginning a study of the life of Paul. We will study about Paul for the rest of the summer. Our story this Sunday is about how Paul went from someone who hated Christians to a follower of Jesus. Jesus called Saul, also known as Paul, who was once an enemy to Christians, to spend the rest of his life telling people the gospel and leading them to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior. As you share this story with your children, remind them that conversion happens when a person recognizes his sin, repents, believes in Jesus, and confesses Jesus as Savior and Lord. Jesus changes a person’s heart, and as a result, his life is changed too. That is good news! Follow the Elementary Link below for more information about our lesson and activities to do with your children.
