In Preschool, we are looking at the life of Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples, this week. We will look at Luke 22, John 21, and the book, “The Friend Who Forgives” by Dan DeWitt and Catalina Echeverri to “learn about how Peter failed, and Jesus forgave.” As you share this story with your children, help them know that “if we trust in Jesus, he will forgive us – again, and again, and again!” We can even tell others about how Jesus forgives us. In Elementary, we conclude our study of the life of Paul this week. Our lesson is about Paul getting shipwrecked on his way to stand trial in Rome in Acts 27-28. Paul trusted God to keep His promise to rescue them from the storm. He also encouraged the sailors to trust God too. Once Paul arrived in Rome, he spent years in prison and eventually was put to death. Paul never lost hope in God taking care of him, even during difficult circumstances. As you share this story with your children, help them remember that we can trust God to keep His promises. We can encourage others to trust God because we know He is good and in control.
