We are concluding our unit on repentance this week. The question for this unit is, “What is repentance? Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus. Our memory verse for this unit is Acts 3:19, Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out.” Try memorizing the verse as a family. (Preschoolers will use the same verse.)

Have you ever felt that everything was going wrong, and you just did not know how to fix things? This week, we are in the book of Zephaniah, a small book of prophecy towards the end of the Old Testament. Instructed by God, Zephaniah tells the people of Judah, and King Josiah, what is wrong and how to fix it – stop sinning and repent.  Unfortunately, Judah never repents, and in the coming weeks, we will see that God will punish them by sending them into exile. Thankfully, God sent Jesus to make us right with God and will one day make all things right.
