We are continuing our short unit on some of the early responses to Jesus. We will learn that we are saved by faith in Jesus. The question for this unit is, “How can we be saved? We are only saved through faith in Jesus.” Our memory verse for this unit is Hebrews 11:6 (NIV), “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Try memorizing the verse as a family. (Preschoolers will memorize the bolded portion.)
This week, we are learning about how people were amazed by Jesus’ miracles and teaching in Luke 4. We will learn that “Jesus’ miracles proved that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. His miracles strengthened people’s faith and met their needs. Through Jesus, God did what is impossible for us to do on our own. He provided forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.” As we marvel at Jesus’ miracles in His word and in our lives, may we also marvel at His amazing grace that is “greater than all my sins”!
