We are continuing our unit on some of Jesus’ teachings and how they were about God and His Kingdom. The question for this unit is, What did Jesus teach when He was on earth? Jesus taught about God and His kingdom. He taught that all Scripture is about Him.” Our memory verse for this unit is 1 Chronicles 29:11 (NIV), “Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.” Try memorizing the verse as a family. (Preschoolers will memorize the bolded portion.)

This week we are in Luke 15 as we look at three parables that show how great God’s love is for all of us. We will see that “Jesus told these parables to teach about God’s love. God sent Jesus so sinners can be forgiven. As Savior, Jesus loves and seeks sinners. He paid the ultimate price—His own life—to save people from sin. The love of God is relentless, coming after us in our time of need. Whether He is leading us to Himself in salvation or leading us to repentance from our sin, Jesus is in pursuit. We are all always in need of his love and grace.”
