We are beginning a unit on Jesus’ interactions with his disciples after his resurrection. The question for this unit is, “How do we know that God wants us to know Him? We can know that God wants us to know Him because He has revealed Himself through His Word.” Our memory verse for this unit is John 17:3 (NIV), “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”” Try memorizing the verse as a family. (Preschoolers will memorize the bolded portion.)
This week, we will be learning about Jesus appearing to the disciples after his resurrection in Luke 24. They were very afraid but Jesus offered peace and comfort to them. We will see that for 40 days, Jesus presented Himself to over 500 people and proved that He is alive. (1 Corinthians 15:3-8) Jesus is still alive today. He sends out believers to tell others the Good News about Him.
