We are concluding a short unit on who can be a Christian. During this unit, we will be talking about how anyone who trusts in Jesus can be forgiven of their sins and be right with God. The question for this unit is, “Who can be saved? Anyone who trusts in Jesus can be forgiven of their sins and be right with God.”  Our memory verse for this unit is John 3:17 (NIV), “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Try memorizing the verse as a family. (Preschoolers will memorize the bolded portion.)

This week, we will be in Acts 13-15 as we learn about Paul becoming a missionary and going on his first missionary journey. We will see that “God had a plan for Paul to share the gospel with Gentiles, no matter what troubles he faced. Many believed in Jesus. The church grew and the gospel spread so that people all over the world could be saved from their sins by trusting in Jesus.” The same Holy Spirit that filled Paul and sustained him on his missionary journeys also lives in us who trust in Christ so we can share about Jesus to others.
