This week in Early Life, we are staying with the Armor of God, so we can talk about the same thing as in Pastor Ryan’s sermon. Click on the link to see short videos and an activity with pepper that explains the armor!  Share videos of your kids trying it out and tag #WCKidsBellevue.

In Elementary, we conclude our 4-week study of Jesus as healer this week. We are looking at Jesus’ healing of his friend, Lazarus, in John 11:1-44.  It was known that Jesus could heal Lazarus, but he waited until it was the right time, which meant that Lazarus died. As you talk to your children, emphasize with them that when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He showed that He has power over death. Jesus died on the cross for our sin and rose from the dead. He gives eternal life to those who trust in Him. (John 11:25) Follow the Elementary Link below to learn more as a family!

This week in Early Life, we are taking a leap and jumping into talking about the Armor of God, just like Pastor Ryan will be! We thought it would be fun to talk about the same things.  Click on the link to see short videos, preschool “translations” of the Armor, and a science activity!  Share videos of your kids trying it out and tag #WCKidsBellevue.

In Elementary, we are continuing our 4-week study of Jesus as someone who healed people. We will be talking about Jesus’ ability to heal those who have been sick a long time or even die as we look at Mark 5:21-43.  As our lesson reminds us, we can always come to Jesus with our need for his help. “Even though Jesus is not physically on earth today, we can pray and ask God to heal people who are sick. Whether or not God grants physical healing, we can rest knowing that He brings ultimate healing through His Son, Jesus. That is the Good News!  Follow the Elementary Link to learn more.

This week in Early Life, we will learn how Joshua led God’s People into the Promised Land AND what happened to Jericho.  Click on the link to learn a simple finger play to learn them!  Share videos of your kids trying it out and tag #WCKidsBellevue.

In Elementary, we are continuing our 4-week study of Jesus as someone who healed people. We will be talking about Jesus’ power over evil as we look at Jesus’ healing of a demon possessed man in Mark 5:1-20.  Our lesson ties into Pastor Ryan’s sermon series this week from Ephesians 6:10-20 about our battle against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). As our lesson reminds us, we can remind our children that “Jesus came to earth to destroy the Devil by dying on the cross. One day, Jesus will end evil forever.” Jesus wins! That is the best news!  Follow the Elementary Link to learn more.

This week in Early Life, we will learn how Moses did BIG STUFF for God!  He led the people of Israel out of Egypt, and also taught them the Ten Commandments.  Do you know them by heart?  Click on the link to learn a simple finger play to learn them!  Share videos of your kids trying it out and tag #WCKidsBellevue.

In Elementary, we begin our 4-week study of Jesus as someone who healed people. Jesus healed a lot of people, but his greatest desire was, and still is, to heal us from our sins. As we talk to our children, rejoice that we can be healed of our sickness and saved from the penalty for our sins. Follow the Elementary Link to learn more.

This week in Early Life, we continue talking about Moses and the big and little stuff in our lives.  This lesson applies to adults, too!  “Whoever can be trusted with very little can be trusted with much.” Luke 16:10. Click on the Early Life Link to learn more.

This week in Early Life, we are learning about an important person in the Bible…Moses!  God did incredible things all through his life.  You can help your kids learn why it’s important to be faithful with the “small stuff” in order to be trusted with the “Big Stuff!”  Click on the Early Life Link to learn more.

In Elementary, we continue our 3-week study of some of the miracles that Jesus did. Our miracle this week is the only miracle during Jesus’ earthly ministry that is recorded in all four Gospels. This is the miracle of Jesus feeding 5,000 men plus women and children from five loaves of bread and two fish.  One thing that I appreciate about this miracle is that Jesus had compassion on the crowd even when he and the disciples were tired and trying to get away for a “day off”.  (How many of us can appreciate the need for a day off from this COVID season?) Instead, Jesus follows his Father’s plan and meets the needs of the crowd so that he can tell them more about how to have a relationship with God that meets all their needs.  Follow the Elementary Link to learn more.

This week in Early Life, we will help our kids see that we can look to Jesus to be the best example, through the story of Joseph.  Click on the link to see how you can help your kids “mirror” Jesus!

In Elementary, we are beginning a 3-week study of some of the miracles that Jesus did. Our miracle this week is from John 2 and we will look at how Jesus’ first miracle was to turn water into wine.  Isn’t it great that Jesus did miracles according to his Father’s plan —not to simply solve the problem at hand, but to solve the deepest problem we face, the problem of sin. We can rejoice that Jesus always obeyed His Father’s plan, all the way to the cross.
