Dear Westminster Family,
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you will all have opportunities in the coming days to be with people you love and to reflect on all the reasons we have to give thanks. Please know that our leadership community is so grateful for what God is doing at Westminster during this time and for the role each of you are playing.
On Sunday we will jump into the Advent season as we begin to build anticipation for our celebration of Christmas. We will be starting a new sermon series we’ve titled “Promises.” The birth of Jesus was not an accident or a surprise but the fulfillment of God’s commitment to His people over centuries. In this series we will look at some of the people who received these promises and how it fueled faith, hope, and expectation in their lives with hope that it will do the same thing for us.
If you didn’t get a chance this past Sunday to pickup one of our Advent devotional books they will be available at the Welcome Desk before or after the service. We have books available for both kids and adults and trust that these will provide a way for us all to reflect and draw closer to the One at the heart of this season.
