Westminster,
This Sunday we begin the season of Advent. It’s a special time on the church calendar leading up to Christmas when we look back at Jesus’ first coming and also look forward to His second. It’s a beautiful season filled with wonder, hope, and thanksgiving. At the same time, it can be a really hard time of year for many, and I don’t want us to miss that. We have a huge opportunity to be a tangible expression of Jesus’ love to our neighbors, co-workers, friends, and families. Perhaps some of us might be able to extend hospitality to someone we know by creating an extra seat for our holiday gatherings?
I’m excited to worship with you in the weeks ahead. This year we will look at themes in some of the carols we sing together throughout this season in our series, The Songs of Christmas.
Grateful,
Ryan
