Merry Christmas! I’m praying for you today and hope that you’re able to see Christmas this year with fresh eyes and experience a sense of wonder at the coming of our Lord. I know that this season is full of joy for many and can also be very difficult for others. I’m praying that the Lord meets you wherever you’re at this Christmas season.
Just as Jesus came, he calls his church to go. We are a people of mission. That’s why every year at Christmas we have an offering that seeks to express God’s love in tangible ways in our community and around the world. This year we are focusing on youth at risk, and excited and prayerful about how we might make Gospel impact. Our goal for this year’s offering is $50,000. You can find out more information here.
December is also a month in which many give above and beyond to our general offering. As you might know, a large percentage of our budget is historically given in December. I’m grateful for the generosity of this community and trusting God’s provision for Westminster Chapel. The Lord is giving us vision for the future, and we are so excited about what a Jesus Transformation could look like at Westminster and on the Eastside.
