WESTMINSTER WEEKLY

Hey Westminster,

This past Monday we had what we called “Vision Night” and it was a great time. If you missed it don’t worry, we recorded the evening, and you can find it here. Just so you know, we plan to make these nights a part of our regular rhythm. The next one will be in May, and we plan to serve a meal and provide childcare for that one!

I also wanted to take a moment to celebrate that this week marked the beginning of both Black History Month and Lunar New Year! This is a great opportunity to grow to listen and love like Jesus as together we follow Him and seek the peace of the city into which He has sent us (Jeremiah 29:7). We need one another and I am so thankful for the ways God is building Westminster to be a church that reflects Heaven and Himself so beautifully.

Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. And they sang a new song, saying:

“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5:6-10

Grateful,
Ryan
