I hope you’re having a great week. I am so excited to continue our study of Acts 2:42-47 on Sunday. I’m praying that God will continue to open our hearts to a Jesus Transformation and what it might look like as we walk together in community.

I also wanted to take a minute and share with you that one of our staff members, Sondra Beck, will be retiring at the end of the year. Sondra has served faithfully for 15 years at Westminster and has been an amazing  coworker.  Please in prayer for her and her husband John as she makes this transition. I’m so thankful that they will continue to be a part of our church community. Below is the letter she wanted me to share with you so you can hear from her directly.

I’m praying for you,

Dear Westminster Family,

Strange as it sounds to say it, I must.  It’s time to announce that I’ll be retiring from my position as Executive Minister of Operations, effective December 31, 2021.  John and I have come to peace with this next step for us.  As you know, the Lord has been merciful in extending John’s life and we count each day together as a bonus blessing.

This 15 years on staff have brought challenge and delight by the steady modulation and increase of my responsibilities and ministry.  It has been rich with the flavors of purpose…exciting, stretching, and satisfying…and filled with God-light.  I have continually benefitted from the love, trust, encouragement, and affirmation of fellow employees, the Elders, the congregation and community.  Thank you all.

I look forward to continuing to work with you from the sidelines and plan to facilitate a seamless transition.

My affection and gratitude for you and this church are deep and lasting.  I’ll be cheering you on and praying continually for the Jesus Transformation that is underway.  It’s been my honor to serve with you.  May God continue to pour His blessings on you and the Chapel.

Most sincerely,
Sondra Beck
Executive Minister of Operations
